I think it’s safe to say that most parents try to give their kids veggies – some kids will eat them and some kids won’t. Here are my secrets to getting my little one to eat her veggies! Give Your Kid Vegetables Every Day I know this seems a little too obvious, but I think it’s important enough to mention. So many parents will say that their kids won’t eat their vegetables, but they never seem to try to give their kids vegetables! Maybe they started out trying and gave up. Whatever the case, it’s important that you KEEP giving your kids vegetables every day. My daughter’s pediatrician explained that kid’s taste buds are still developing, which means it can take up to 19 times eating something before a kid likes a new food! Posted by on Apr 18, 2014 in Desserts, Holiday, Holiday, Recipes, Toddler/Child | Comments Off on {Paleo & Vegan} Healthy Cadbury Eggs

Cadbury Eggs were an Easter tradition growing up as a kid, and I  absolutely loved them. We usually only got one or two Cadbury Eggs in our Easter basket, so we preserved them and saved them until we were ready to devour them! Fast forward to now, and I honestly can’t remember the last time I had a Cadbury Egg. Yes, they were a fun tradition growing up, but as I have become more health conscious, I’ve decided to ditch the Cadbury Eggs and choose healthier options instead. You have kids, you have a family swimming pool, and you want to combine the two. As a parent, you’d like to show your children how much fun the pool can be, but you’re aware that not all kids respond the same way when they are first around the water. So how can a parent teach their children to enjoy swimming, and have them consider it a positive experience? Recognize their individuality. Some kids will be naturals in the water, and take to it from the very first. Encourage that child and just let their fun continue. Another child might be hesitant around the water. Be on the lookout for signs of that reticence, and address it. The old “throw them in the deep end” concept could really be scarring for a child who already is ambivalent about the...
