Panda Licorice
I love black licorice, and I’m so happy that I found Panda! It’s the only brand that I am aware of (hopefully not the only one) that makes black licorice that I can eat without the guilt. Other “all natural” licorice that I have found are loaded with corn syrup or other junk.
Panda’s all natural licorice is a great low calorie treat that has no white sugar or artificial ingredients added! The soft texture and delicious taste isn’t anything to complain about either. The only reason someone wouldn’t like this is if they just aren’t fond of black licorice.

Panda is the only black licorice I buy and I just love it as it has the strongest licorice taste and good texture, as opposed to the fake licorices on the market. I do have a difficult time finding it, however, but when wintering in Palm Springs, CA, I find it at Trader Joe’s.
Beware of the new Panda “Traditional Soft Original Licorice” in a 200g light brown bag. I bought it by miskate at Cost Plus in California. It says it is made in Finland, like the other products, but the ingedient list is: Molasses, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Wheat Flour, Licorice Extract, Anise.
They do not taste as good as the ones in the black box. I actually prefer the herb flavored ones in the green box, but they are really hard to come by.
