{Paleo & Vegan} Shamrock Shake Recipe

Posted by on Mar 14, 2014 in Beverages, Holiday, Recipes | 0 comments

Every St. Patrick’s Day, I see advertising for McDonald’s Shamrock Shake. Yes, it’s green…but it’s green from food dye rather than healthy green fruit or vegetables. It’s full of processed sugars, artificial flavorings and milk sourced from who knows where. The good news? There’s a much healthier – even Paleo & Vegan! – version of McDonald’s Shamrock Shake. Delicious doesn’t have to be guilty. Healthy Shamrock Shake Recipe Ingredients:  1 can coconut milk (you can also sub 1 ¾ cups of any other type of milk) 1 avocado, peeled and seed removed 2 1/2 – 3 tablespoons pure raw honey, (or other sweetener of choice) 1 cup of ice 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract 1 teaspoon pure peppermint extract For full recipe instructions, please visit: Feel free to follow us, however you like: Google+, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram Feel free to follow Skinny Twinkie: Google+, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram,...

Josh Duhamel hits the Gym on Christmas

Posted by on Dec 26, 2013 in Fitness | 0 comments

Christmas was just yesterday, and while everyone was sleeping in and stuffing their faces with candy…Josh Duhamel was heading out to the gym. Healthy Lifestyle When I suggest going to the gym on a regular basis – making it a lifestyle change – this is what I’m talking about. You don’t need to workout for hours, but what about a 15 or 30 minute workout? As a society, we need to make a daily workout routine normal again rather than diss Josh Duhamel about exercising on a holiday (as if that’s such a terrible thing). If we make excuses not to workout, we can quickly justify skipping the gym for all sorts of things and one day realize “wow, I haven’t been to the gym in weeks/months/years”. Create a workout routine – whether that’s three days or six days a...
